Gratuitous Financial Assistance to Port Harcourt
Good afternoon. I find myself in a situation that many might relate to. I’m a 30-year-old who relocated from Abuja to Kano after losing my job due to vaccination requirements. I’m actively seeking new employment and considering getting vaccinated (as it’s inevitable). However, I’m currently without any funds. I need money for transportation and food, and I also have my four-legged friend “Max” with me. It’s humbling to ask, but any assistance, even a small amount like 500 naira, would be greatly appreciated to cover essentials like transport fares. I believe in kindness and miracles. Thank you. There are times when you make financial decisions thinking they are just for precautionary measures. However, sometimes emergencies happen suddenly and repeatedly. You may find yourself in a situation where you’ve exhausted all options, feeling desperate as the financial consequences quickly catch up with you. Despite working tirelessly for 14 hours a day, with no days off, and having my daughter stay with her grandmother, I have not managed to resolve my financial issues. I am only managing to cover the exorbitant interest rates on three credit cards, unable to address the principal debt itself. I am seeking financial assistance to help pay off these credit cards and a personal debt that has been outstanding for 7 years. I accept full responsibility for my past choices, but I can’t overcome this on my own.
A heartfelt plea… I’m at a loss for where to turn. Our baby boy was born with an eye condition called coloboma in both eyes. He is on formula feeding. My income isn’t sufficient. We can’t organize any support because we lack documents from the father’s side, and his whereabouts are unknown. We reside in a room in a hostel. The utility bills are around 5000 naira, and it’s daunting to even mention that. Where to find the funds and how to provide for the children is uncertain!! If anyone can help, please reach out… Sincerely, the Savelas family.
Good afternoon, kind-hearted individuals. I am weary of living in debt for the past four years. In my youth, I took out loans and now, for the fourth year, almost all of my salary goes towards repaying debts as required by the authorities. I still owe about 157,000 naira. Financially, I am struggling greatly. I constantly need to find small ways to earn extra just to have a little something “in my pocket” from one pay period to the next. If anyone is able to help with even a small amount, I would be incredibly grateful!

I am in a difficult situation and unable to pay my rent this month. I have no family to support me. Last month, I was very ill and had to spend all my money on medical treatment. I also received less pay at work. I have exhausted all options and cannot get a loan or borrow money from anyone. If anyone can offer a small amount of help, even a little bit can go a long way. I am struggling to make ends meet. If you can assist with any amount, please send it to my account at Zenith Bank – 1234 5678 9012 3456.
Hello, my name is Elena. I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request for assistance. I have 6 children and we are currently facing a very challenging situation. It’s extremely difficult to manage on 13 thousand naira a month. All my children are minors and they need shoes, clothing, and food. Please help us gather resources for winter clothing for them. We kindly ask you not to ignore our plea. We live in a village, and our address is Lagos, Ikeja district, Alimosho village, 51 Lagos Street.
Please help me buy a car not for personal entertainment but for work purposes. We are a large family with seven children living in a village. Currently, we sustain ourselves through a small subsistence farm. Having a car would significantly boost our income for several reasons. First, it provides the opportunity for part-time work as a taxi driver. Second, it allows us to transport and sell more goods in the city than we can now. Additionally, the car would help save money on travel costs for fodder and other necessities. With the approaching season, expenses like coal are becoming more costly, and our house urgently needs repairs. We need at least ₦310,000 for a suitable work vehicle. My wife, children, and I would be immensely grateful for your assistance.
Please, we sincerely hope for assistance as there are many kind-hearted people in the world. Here in Nigeria, as devout Christians, we believe in helping those in need, and we trust that God will bless those who assist us. We are a mother and son without a home (a sad situation) and face health challenges. While I am actively seeking employment, we currently live with distant acquaintances but must vacate in a few days. We are desperate and don’t know where to turn. Please, we humbly ask for your help in the name of God! We need funds to rent an apartment, and we would be incredibly grateful for any financial assistance. Here is a card number for my son: 5469380093721586.
Hello kind, compassionate people … I am quite embarrassed to write this, but I have no other choice…. I am employed and earn 30,000 Naira. A year ago, I met a girl and wanted to make her happy, so during the lockdown, I started ordering more food, treats, and gifts for her (as funny as it sounds, I’d rather be honest). I thought, “If I take a microloan, I’ll repay it from my salary.” Then, a few more times, I did the same, and with several microloans to cover my living expenses, I realized I didn’t have enough. I began extending microloans, some for two weeks, others for a month, but instead of decreasing, they just kept accumulating…. Month after month, I found myself taking new microloans to pay off the old ones, stuck in a vicious cycle. I feel like a fool…. Currently, I can barely afford to eat, and I owe money to 8 different microloan companies. Collectors harass me every day with calls, WhatsApp messages, and texts…. If you can, please, I need help desperately…. I am incredibly grateful in advance to everyone who shows compassion. If I manage to get out of this, I promise never to take microloans again. I can only upload one screenshot here, but if anyone wants to verify my situation, feel free to email me, and I will send the other 7 screenshots of my loans. Thank you…
I am planning to travel on April 28th, but unfortunately, the assistance I rely on is only paid in partial installments over three months, from March to June. This makes it difficult to travel or cover other expenses, especially since I also need to make a loan payment by mid-April and in the following months. Currently, I am not employed, and I need initial funding to secure a job. I am one of many in the same situation, and I am hoping for support. I need to purchase a ticket and cover commission fees to get started, and from there, I am confident we will succeed.
I found myself in a very difficult situation. After my father passed away, I had no money for the funeral. I took out a microloan, but then lost my job and couldn’t repay the debt. In an attempt to manage, I took out another microloan to extend the previous one, and now the debt has spiraled out of control. I have found a new job, but all my earnings go towards managing the debt, and it continues to accumulate. I also have a young son starting school this year, and I don’t have the funds to prepare for his first day. Please, any assistance would be deeply appreciated.
It all started during my student years; I took out loans for my education and then more loans to pay off the previous ones. Now I’m in a desperate situation, which is why I decided to write here. My total debt across all loans is about 550,000 naira. Almost my entire salary goes towards these loan payments, and it’s not enough to cover utilities anymore. My biggest dream is to pay off everything and live peacefully.
Hello! I’m in a desperate situation and seeking help. After taking out a mortgage loan, my personal data was leaked and I ended up with several unauthorized loans and credits. Now, debt collectors are demanding a total of 900,000 naira, which I cannot afford. I’m single and have no one to assist me. I officially work and earn a salary of 18,000 naira, while my mortgage loan repayment is 12,500 naira. I’m struggling to get by.
My name is Angelina, I am 25 years old, and my credit history is now ruined. I can’t even get a loan to resolve this issue. I’m terrified of losing my home, which is under mortgage, and being forced to pay this debt. I don’t know how to move forward. My mother is disabled and receives a pension of 8,000 naira. The collectors are constantly harassing us with calls, visits, and threats.
Please, if you can, help me climb out of this difficult situation.
My name is Marina, and we have a 6-year-old daughter, Jana, who is sick. We desperately need your help! Our ordeal began in April 2020 when Jana became ill with a high fever. Concerned, we called a doctor, and after an examination, we were advised to get an ultrasound. Jana’s grandmother immediately took her for the diagnosis while I stayed home with my youngest daughter. Then we received the call that shattered our world—our little girl was diagnosed with cancer, specifically neuroblastoma. At that time, we didn’t understand the immense challenges, pain, and tears that were ahead.
The best oncologist in Lagos was on duty that day. Upon our arrival at the oncology center, we were informed that Jana’s treatment would take six months to a year, which was devastating news. The explanation of the diagnosis and the impending treatment left me worrying about my two other children who would be without me. My youngest daughter had just turned 2, and my son was 12. With my husband and I recently divorced, their care fell on my mother, a pensioner.
The doctor emphasized that Jana needed me more, marking the beginning of a grueling journey filled with anesthesia, surgeries, and worrying updates about her high-risk tumor. Jana has endured six intense chemotherapy blocks, high-dose chemo, and a stem cell transplant. Currently, we are continuing treatment at the premier center in Nigeria, undergoing radiation therapy. Despite the challenging 7-month treatment, doctors have determined that Jana needs immunotherapy.
The prognosis for high-risk neuroblastoma is grim, but immunotherapy can increase recovery chances. Jana requires the drug “Qarziba” at a dose of 10mg/m2/day for 10 days, totaling 100mg/m2. Unfortunately, this drug is not registered in Nigeria, and procuring it costs a staggering amount (approximately 1.2 million Naira), far beyond our financial means.
We have reached out to various charities in Nigeria for help, but due to the current situation and a long list of children in need, our requests have been denied. Time is critical as immunotherapy must start within 100 days from the TCM date.
We plead for your help to save Jana’s life!
